Connor French

Ambassador / WSFC Alumni

Connor French began his football journey at just 10 years old with Waterloo Sports & Football Club, where his raw talent and hunger for the game quickly stood out. His early years at WSFC laid a strong foundation, helping him develop the technical ability, discipline, and mindset needed to progress in the game. By age 15, Connor had earned a move to Millwall FC, stepping into the professional football environment and continuing his development at a higher level.

After his time in the pro game, Connor went on to represent several well-respected semi-professional clubs across London and the South East, including Tooting & Mitcham, Dulwich Hamlet, and Bearsted FC, where he continues to play today. Known for his work rate and leadership on and off the pitch, Connor has built a solid reputation across non-league football.

In a feature interview with Bearsted FC, Connor openly credited Arnold Reynolds - WSFC founder and long-time mentor - as a major influence in his life and footballing career. That relationship is at the heart of why Connor returns to the club year after year, now serving as an official WSFC ambassador.

Through this role, Connor gives back to the club that shaped him, regularly supporting coaching sessions, speaking with players, and offering guidance to the next generation. His story is a powerful reminder to young players of where hard work and the right environment can take you.

In the 2023/2024 season, Connor also took on a coaching role with Tower Hamlets FC, gaining valuable experience in youth development. He’s brought that knowledge back to WSFC, further strengthening our commitment to developing local talent and keeping pathways open for young people across London.
