Eddison Walsh Gachette

Eddison first joined Waterloo FC at the age of 15 and has remained connected to the club ever since. Now 40, he reflects on the lasting impact that Waterloo FC and especially founder Arnold “Arnie” Reynolds, has had on his life.

To Eddison, Arnie has been more than a coach - a true mentor and guiding figure, someone he could trust like family. Through his time at the club, Eddison gained not only footballing knowledge but vital life skills, confidence, and a belief in his own potential.

Since leaving the club, Eddison has gone on to achieve several personal and professional milestones, including earning his FA Level 2 in Coaching Football, completing qualifications in Construction Management, and becoming a fully licensed Security Officer.

He credits Waterloo FC with helping him build the foundation to pursue his goals and live with purpose.

Today, Eddison gives back to the Waterloo family as a coach mentor, using his lived experience to guide and inspire the next generation, continuing the cycle of belief, support, and opportunity that shaped his own journey.
